Founded in Brisbane, they blend behavioural science, data and product to support workforce strategy across Australia and the US - tackling real challenges like teacher shortages, retention and organisational design.
A small, mission-led team with growing global traction - and a big next chapter ahead!
What we did
We partnered with PeopleBench to support a series of critical hires - most notably a Technical Lead (future CTO) and Head of Marketing.
Both roles were high stakes.
On the technical side, the brief wasn’t just “hire a lead engineer”. They needed someone who could operate at a CTO level in a startup environment - setting direction, modernising the platform, and still being hands-on. With a team of one at the time, there was no internal technical benchmark, which meant the bar had to be defined (and validated) externally.
Alongside this, we supported the hire of a Senior Software Engineer - helping round out the engineering capability and build a more complete, scalable tech function.
On the marketing side, the brief evolved quickly. What started as a Head of Marketing search became something bigger - ultimately landing a candidate at CMO level who could lead their global growth ambitions.
Both searches leaned heavily on network and referral - tapping into trusted, high-quality talent pools rather than running broad market processes.
The outcome
A small but critical set of hires that will shape the next phase of the business.
A Technical Lead with the capability to step into a future CTO position - bringing structure, direction and hands-on leadership to the product function.
A Senior Software Engineer who helped round out the team and strengthen delivery capability.
And a Head of Marketing hire that raised the bar entirely - ultimately stepping in at CMO level. While she was already relocating back to Australia from the UK, our network gave PeopleBench access to her - bringing big-ticket international experience in the education space into the business at exactly the right time.
For PeopleBench, this wasn’t just about filling roles. It was about setting the foundations for scale - across product, platform and growth.
